Pamella is one of two purchases from Horsehill Alpacas just before the owners retired from breeding alpacas. She's a very gentle animal born in 2001 with lovely tufty ears. Camilla, her mother has also come to us. Pamella inherited her mother's love for carrots and apples although she's quite cautious with any new flavours she hasn't tried before.
Her past offspring are all excellent and in 2009 she was mated to Purston Van Dyke and produced a beautiful black female, Calpurnia who is the largest of the Rushmere 2009 generation. In 2010 she was mated with Livanti Cloud and Erasmus, her dark brown cria has the excellent fleece and conformation expected from such a mating.
This year we have mated her with our own Comanche to see if we can get a grey, but with her black pedigree it may well be another black.
