Cleeve Cloud Camilla is a stately lady of 14 and the oldest in our herd. She is a beautiful blue black and has produced a succession of black cria, one of which is Pamella who came with her from Horse Hill alpacas. Her eye brows and some of her neck hairs are now starting to get frosted with age, but she's very healthy and strong. Her fleece, although lacking density, is inredibly fine and at her age is still around 25 micron. She is very steady and gentle and adores carrots as well as being quite partial to apples.
She was mated to Morden Hall's Boz in 2009 and produced a lovely little boy, Columbo, in September. Columbo is doing very well and as an experienced Mum Camilla had no problems at all with the birth. Last year we mated her to our own Comanche and she has produced a black female, Ebony who seems to have inherited her fine fleece and bushy eye brows.
This year we have mated her with our own Jay as his density married with her fineness could produce something rather good and her black genetics seem pretty strong.
