Horatio is one of the 4 alpacas we bought from Imagine and is the leader of the 5 boys we keep together. He is a beautiful dark fawn with very fluufy ears and wonderful whiskers which remind us of a moustachioed Victorian gentleman. He also has wonderful presence and we have our first cria from him, from when we mated him to Flower in 2010.
He has very dense fleece and excellent confomration and is the son of an Accoyo alpaca.
He takes his leadership duties very seriously and is always watching out for the other boys. He won't feed from our hand but will come to buckets now, although he was wary for quite a while. He's quite happy with a halter but he was also rather unwilling to have his toe nails cut initially. We're pleased to say that after a lot of work with him he's now fine and behaved impaccably at the last toe nail session
