Mike Hewitt from Wendover Heights vets came today and scanned our girls. Great news - Camilla again confirmed pregant - that's our first Comanche baby. Fabiola, Pamella and Brunhilda also confirmed which are all Liz's. She's just waiting for jade to confirm. I told her the good news. Mike also looked at the bald patches on Balmoral. He reckonned it was rain scorching i.e. if the fleece is slow to dry anywhere and collects some bacteria that can lead to some localised hair loss. He was looking much better anyway so it seems to be healing.
I also spoke to Mr Hamilton form Weatherfield School. Liz Barlow has very kindly offered to lend 3 non-breeding females as we're not yet getting the 'bulk order' of wethers from Bozedown and Mr Hamilton thought that that was a great idea. I'm going across to check out the accomodation for the alpacas on Sunday and will let Liz know.
