This time some friends of Neil's - Ken with his 3 grandchildren, Jenny (6) and two twins, David and Jack (4) plus their parents. They loved the alpacas and Demetrius was a particular hit with Jenny. We were pleased to see the alpacas were still relaxed after a mating session for Treacle. It all went very well - 18 minutes. Fingers crossed.
We also did toe nails for the boys. Comanche and Balmoral behaved impecably but not so Horatio. He stomped and strutted and did not want to stand still at all, until I moved away from his feet and then he was fine. We moved on to Kapalua and Legolas who weren't too bad, then tried a body wrap on Hhoratio, a Camelidynamics trick. It did help, along with a very small pen and eventually all feet were trimmed. Poor Neil however was exhausted, particularly having had a nasty argument with a car when on his bike a few days earlier. We decided to leave Isadore when he made a spectacular steeple chase leap over the hurdles. We'll try again later in the week.
