I'm currently working in Madagascar trying to sort out the leakage in the capital so that there's more water for the poorer communities. Neil was with me and that was great but he went home today and sent me the sad news by text that while he was away the two swans were killed by a fox. The animal actually jumped on to the island, which we had thought was far enough that it was safe. As it obviously isn't and as the alpacas didn't protect the swans (well they coudn't on the island) we won't be replacing the swans. It's all very sad and I wish I was there with Neil, not stuck in a hotel in Madagascar.
