All the newbies are doing well. Circe continues to occasionally steel a drink from Pamella and continues to be the largest of the three, now weighing 18 pounds. Junior is very independent and quite fearless. They've started sniffing at the grass and I thnk Circe had a quick nibble and was also investigating hay.
Cesar has discovered hay big time. However, unlike the older generation he hasn't got the hang of picking out a few choice tit-bits and frequently comes out of the hay bar with a bundle as large as his head. As ever, we've never got a camera ready when he does this.
We had a thorough session this morning annointing all their feet and ears with Ruggle-it (oil with added neem which helps keep midges and flies away.)
Liz phoned and we've arranged for a spit off for cass on Friday. We've decided to leave mating the older girls until next spring. They'll be better for a break.
