We spent the afternoon clearing the pnd next to the lower field - a dirty job with both Neil and I togged out in waders. He had also cleared the stream adjacent to the alpacas field and as they hadn't had a problem with the small bit of stream they had access to we decided to enlarge the area they could get to so that an area with nice fresh long grass was accessible.
We duly moved the fence panels and immediately Cass and Cammilla were in there, soon followed by all the others except fabiola who is still being a bit stand offish (we think her nose is out of joint with the arrival of an older and more senior alpaca) It didn't take long and the grass was well down. Beats a lawn mower every time.
