Rushmere Alpacas

Our new arrival has been named Ceasar. We went to Stratford to watch Julius Ceasar on Saturday and it seemed appropriate as this year all our names will start with 'c'. We picked up quite a few possible names for this year from the play - Cassius, Caius, Cicero and we should really call any female we get this year Calpurnia after Ceasar's wife, (although after so many female babies we are due for a run of males)

Little Ceasar (or Junior Ceasar as he's been nick named) is doing very well. He's far less nervous than the female babies we've had. He's up 1/2 pound on yesterday which is good going and seems very self possesed. Whilst we had everyone shut in the stable we put Stop It All on their feet - we find it keeps the flies and midges off them as well as preventing mange. It's much easier to do since we had lights put in the stable a few weeks ago.
